Who We Are

Since 2009, Supporting Young Futures has partnered with Local Authorities to provide high-quality accommodation, care, and guidance for young people aged 16+ who are preparing to leave care. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to feel secure, valued, and empowered as they take their next steps into independence.

Foundational safety & successful futures

A stable home, consistent support, and preparation for adulthood

Our family-style homes create a nurturing environment for young people with emotional, social, learning, or behavioural challenges who are unable to live with their families. Beyond safe housing, we focus on developing essential life skills, building resilience, and offering both emotional and practical support.

A safeguarding-first culture

Safeguarding is at the core of our work. We are committed to creating a safe organisational culture where young people feel secure, protected, and able to thrive.

  • Clear systems to identify concerns and take action to protect welfare
  • Policies available at induction and on request via info@syf.org.uk

Outcomes-focused, practical support

We tailor support to help each young person gain the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to succeed— measuring progress through our three core outcomes.

  • Life skills support such as budgeting, cooking, and managing a home environment
  • Support for Preparation for Adulthood (P4A) through consistent key working

Partnership working

We collaborate with professionals and partners to deliver holistic, person-centred support tailored to individual needs, helping young people access the right services at the right time.

  • Coordinated work with Local Authorities and multi-agency professionals
  • Proactive support to help young people access services and support networks

Trauma-informed practice

We recognise and understand the complex emotional and behavioural issues experienced by the young people we support. Our environments are nurturing and psychologically informed.

  • Holistic, person-centred approaches and tailored individual pathways
  • Support that promotes emotional regulation, resilience, and stable relationships
